Sometimes just a little piece of news can make my entire day. That happened  little while ago this morning.

The Dan Band is coming to Baltimore.

You may think you don’t know The Dan Band, but you do if you have ever seen “Old School.” They played the band that played at Frank the Tank‘s wedding. You know, the one that threw obscenities into the middle of “Total Eclipse of the Heart.”

Well, that wasn’t just a gag for the movie. They really exist. Lead singer Dan Finnerty, who happens to be married to actress Kathy Najimy, started the whole thing as a gag when he sang “I Am Woman” during karaoke one night. Now, he fronts a full band which plays pretty much nothing but songs by women. The ABBA medley on their live CD is hysterical.

I have to go see these guys live. Have to.
