I was going to post this Friday, then the Monte Carlo fire happened and I got distracted. So you get an end of the week post on Monday.

I like the way the new album is coming into focus piece by piece. If you haven’t visited the Ninety Nights website, go check it out. The videos by themselves are interesting enough, but seeing these daily glimpses into recording, rehearsing and just being R.E.M. make April 1 seem so far away, yet so close.

From all accounts “Supernatural Superserious” will be the first release. The link goes to a clip of the song from the fan site murmurs.com. You can also visit the band’s home page and buy the preview of the song as a ring tone. I haven’t quite gotten that into it yet. Besides, I’m really used to “End of the World” playing when my phone rings.
