Today is the anniversary of Elvis Presley’s death in 1977. I am not that big of an Elvis fan, but I grow to appreciate him a little more every year, especially since some family members are pretty big fans.

I remember going to see a group of Flyin Elvis’ at a minor league baseball game back after the movie “Honeymoon in Vegas” made that all the rage. I actually don’t remember if I stayed to see them jump, but I remember that was why many members of my family headed down to the game.

Tonight, we’re going to honor this occasion by watching some of the movies that are playing on Turner Classic today. And my wife went out and bought Elvis Pez dispensers for my sisters.
