I think my 11-year-old daughter said it best as we left Happy Feet 2 – “Well, that occupied us for two hours.”

Considering she wanted to see the movie, I don’t think it’s a rousing endorsement. She does love penguins and had a good time, but it won’t appear on anyone’s Best Movies list. That said, I didn’t fall asleep or want to hang myself so it already ranks above some of the other movies I have taken her to see. The secondary plot of Matt Damon and Brad Pitt voicing a pair of krill truly kept me entertained.

Of course, I never saw the original movie so maybe this is a masterpiece and I just couldn’t follow the plot since I didn’t have a good understanding of the underlying relationships between the characters.
