I went out to pick up lunch for myself and some co-workers yesterday. There is this awesome small supermarket with a great sandwich section near our office thatI went to. I get to the back and get in line to order our food.

They had two registers working. I grabbed a menu and decided what I want while I waited for my turn. As I waited for my food after I ordered, I noticed something going on at the register next to me.

Not only was this annoying couple asking a bunch of questions about the sandwiches – the menu clearly lists what everything has so there should be no reason to ask more than a quick question or two – but they were on their cell phone telling their daughter what was on the sandwiches and finding out what she wanted.

Now I have no problem with people using their cell in a store to make sure they get home with the right stuff, but there were people waiting in line behind them. Take a menu, step out of line and make sure your order is right when you get up there.

Needless to say, the man in the couple was whiny and wanted things done just right when their order was completed. This was one of those times I really wish you could just slap somebody on the side of the head and tell them to stop being so annoying.
